You know, I've been to this board at least once a week for the past year or two just checking out what's going on and, for the last 2 months, never noticed this thread. Why? I have no idea.

Couple of quick things to start off:

Soap and water and a little scrubbing is STILL the best way to get ball marks off a bat.

SafetyCat made this place special.

Barry Bonds still sux.

Now.... I've been around since at least 2001 as Saucoin to begin with until someone (drawing a blank as to who right now) gave me my current name of coinguy. When I 1st started coming to this message board, the wealth of knowledge shared about softball was tremendous. It was through this board that I met some great people. Coop and I still try to get together for BP whenever we can and I'm forever grateful for meeting him. Over the years, I've met some great guys from this board both in person and through posts (it's amazing how much you get to know some people just from message board conversations) and wouldn't trade it. From the very 1st SEGT, I've still got my trophy for the hit farthest behind the plate for one I fouled straight back. Troy was the brain behind that idea. I also remember thinking at that GT that, "WOW! 325' is a long way." I didn't hit anything out that day using about 4 different bats but I did wear out the bottom of the fence. Now, with the knowledge I've gained from both this board over the years and SwingMechanics, that 325' isn't as far as it used to be.

I don't post as much any more because it just isn't what it used to be but, I don't think I will ever not check out the board (unless Jerry has finally had enough and shuts it down). Heck, I remember when we had to start putting NS before Non Softball posts. Now, those are more prevalent than softball posts it seems.'

Jerry, thank you for the board and the chance to 'meet' so many great guys over the years. And, guys, thanks for all of the memories.
