this board WAS thee Original softball board...back in the day , this place was booming....nobody knew more about ALL the new bats before we did....then it just
grew outside of the board and now there are 100's of boards out there...i still come back to visit but as a whole, the board has seen it's better days
gone by...but i did meet alot of great guys over the yrs. and still keep in touch with them

Yeah I had forgot about this place. Used to check here every time I went online.
Then it became such a hassle to sign in especially when hardly anyone was on here that I just quit checking. This was really my first message board, and I spent many hours here. Well I will be checking back from time to time now so do not run off. |

I'm still here. I only check in on Friday evenings and sometimes on the weekend. The school year is winding down, which means my work load is winding up.

I thought I pop in and make an appearance. Like many, life has caught up with me, not to mention my 9-yr old son. Like many, I'm fading from the ballfield
and showing up at a golf course near you (unfortunately, I brought my dead pull swing with me). I still show up once a week to play in a rec league, but my
days of researching bats and trading them like rum runner have long passed.
Jon, I hope your rehab gets you back in 'some' sort of swing soon. I'm fighting a sciatic nerve problem myself, but I finally found out what it takes to slow my golf swing down...PAIN! BobDawg1, did you ever get rid of that Intensit-E you found...I know some girls on a co-ed team who would love it. Rex, I'll have to get in touch with you to find halfway point to play some golf. Not that I'm any good, but I love hacking up some one elses track. ...and lastly, doesn anyone have Jimmy34 contact info...I've bought a tournament shirt every year for his fund raising tourney and I lost my HD, so most of my addys went with it. Let me know if someone has it (or let Jimmy34 know and he can get in touch with me.) As always, it's great to read through and just see some of the names that remind me of days gone by. Drew, it's great to hear from you! I am sorry about your sciatic pain. I know that can be an absolute beast. I think Jimmy's address is still
powerhouse3434@yahoo.com. I haven't talked to him in a couple of months, but I know he is still around.
I'm finding that I am spending more time reading, watching movies, and most importantly spending time with my pride and joy... my four year old son Ben. Can you believe he'll be five in 2 months?! He still sleeps each night with his OU bear that Rex sent to him. It is honestly his most prized bear and it's like a little security blanket to him. I have a daughter coming in October. It's exciting times here. I miss playing ball, and I miss talking to all of my pals here, but I am grateful that I met so many great folks. Hopefully everybody is keeping busy and staying happy. Thanks for posting this thread BobDawg. It's good to hear from a few of my favorite folks. Man, I love the summertime.  Another school year approaches. I am just glad I got out of administration and can go back to teaching. Blecccch. I love

Well Hello everyone Drew Jon BKB, its been awhile, got back from a golfing trip to Scotland(great time 6str8dayz of golf) then 2 weeks ago Tightness in the chest, in the hospital , stent in the heart 2 days after stealing 2nd and then getting thrown out at home from a cannon in left...I did Knock in winning run last week after being out of hospital 7 days...had too league leading team loaded bases in a last inning tie ball game loaded bases to get to our young kids...thinking I wouldnt sub in...like I said Had2...Im way too young for this crap...great to hear another one on its way Jon Im sure your Bens a lucky kid, gotta believe pops spoils him just a bit...Drew Mesquite sounds like a good place to meet semi halfway...played Wolfcreek there a year or two back its was out of this world, we could play a few hands of poker while we are there too...seems Im buying more Scotty Camerons then bats these days...gotta get this heart thing under control so I can keep on swingin till Im old n Gray...wait a second I am old N gray, well Im goin2keepon swingin ya never know when you might connect |
